Coastal Camping at Sea Barn Farm
Sea Barn Farm is a gem of a campsite - tucked away at the end of Dorset's winding roads, nestled by the Jurassic Coast with views that command your full attention, there could be no better campsite if you are looking for a seaside break. The campsite cleverly manages to maintain a feeling of privacy and seclusion through it's segregated pitches -you can have sunrise views from the entrance side of the campsite, sunset views from the far end (we picked this one) and if you prefer to be elevated and surrounded by trees in your own enclosure -well, you can have that too.
With a new shower block that boasts the 'best campsite facilities ever' according to my husband, there is no slumming it here. Whilst you can't access the beach directly from the campsite (you can access the lagoon) - Chesil Beach is only a few miles away, and what a beach it is!
It may be May, but as we all know the rain has not let up for weeks - but on this occasion, as soon as we set foot on the beach the skies cleared, the sun shone, and the setting was perfect for a dip in the sea (warning, this is not for the faint hearted!).
We were camping with a group of friends, we had children but the rest did not, but Sea Barn Farm offers something for everyone - the kids spent hours kite flying to the East side of the campsite on the 'Farm Walk', the grown ups spent hours chatting and enjoying the views with chilled wine, and we all slept well listening to the pitter patter of rain on our tents.
For a weekend break or a month, this is the perfect get away, and after chatting to some of the regulars there, it seems that even in peak season the campsite manages to retain a sense of peace and tranquility.
We will definitely be going back there, I actually think that I could live there quite happily for months on end!

First Picnic of the Year
Well it's my favourite time of year, those first few days of sunshine when you can still dream that it might last endlessly into early Autumn, where the days pile up ahead laden with picnics, summer walks and hours of basking in the balmy breeze. Our first thoughts turn to camping and all that it brings, adventure, escape, long days of worrying only about your next meal and how to enjoy your glass of wine.
So our first picnic is out of the way, and I've just realised that I haven't pre-booked a single campsite , which will no doubt turn out to be a major mistake - my to do list for tomorrow grows longer! Our new camping stove is a true gem, providing not only essential heat for those well earned meals, hours can be spent lingering by this stove into the evenings. Even on those colder nights this wood burning stove can keep you warm, the only downside being that at some point you need to leave the heat and bridge the gap between the stove and your sleeping bag.

We love Lineke Broadbent at www.wivwuv.co.uk
A lovely evening was had last Friday as we at Glamper Camper HQ threaded our gorgeous GC sign that the very talented Lineke Broadbent (www.wivwuv.co.uk) very generously made for us. Lineke has an amazing range of unique and uber eye catching pieces of jewellery - already selling her own exclusive range in Leeds Art Gallery, jewellery is not Lineke's only forte, she designs wedding stationery, homeware and paper cuts.
We hope that in the future we will commission Lineke to develop some new camping accessories for us, but in the meantime take a look at her website, we guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Photographing in Pangbourne!
Spring was definitely in the air yesterday as we made our way down to the beautiful riverside in Pangbourne to shoot some shots of our new Jane Austen cups. We may be amateur photographers but there was no lack of inspiration as the warm breeze and bright blue skies put thoughts of camping firmly in our minds.
It was a challenge to place our products in the natural environment but Mr T was firmly of the opinion that the new mug is definitely a great accessory and his security in his own masculinity meant that he was not ashamed to be so close to something so pink!
The beautiful bright colours of our fine dining range glittered brightly in the sunshine, and we felt our winter blues drifting away as we looked at the rainbow of colours.
We are feeling positive about the coming months and are very excited to share our new products with you as we stride confidently into 2012, we have a feeling it's going to be a great year!
